The Langenhoven Marimba Band was established in 2022.  They perform whenever meetings are held at Langenhoven to welcome guests to the school.

In 2023 they were selected to participate in the Tshwane Youth Festival that was held in the State Theatre in August of the same year.  This was a very big honour, and the band distinguished themselves at the Festival. It was a night that the band members will treasure forever.

The members are not only talented in playing the marimba, but all members are also very skilled jembe drum players.

In 2024 our goal is to participate in as many competitions as possible.

Ms Nelia van der Merwe, the leader of the group, also plans to establish a music group with recorder, melodica and guitar players who will perform with the marimba band where possible.
